What every muslimah needs to hear (part 2)

Assalam ‘alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu my loves,

In this episode, I’m sitting down with my journal and sharing a collection of quiet reflections that Allah has placed on my heart recently and over the years. These are gentle reminders about iman, intention, and the way our hearts shift through ease, hardship, blessings, and disappointment.

We talk about what it really means to stay close to Allah not just when life is difficult, but when life feels full and comfortable too. About not letting the world define our success, not becoming attached to what was only ever meant to be a blessing, and learning to recognise that even our du’as are answered in ways we don’t always immediately see.

This episode is soft, reflective, and deeply personal like a conversation between sisters trying to make sense of their hearts and return back to what truly matters.

Assalamu Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu, in this episode, we are pausing to breathe and center ourselves with five gentle reminders designed specifically for the overwhelmed Muslimah. We are moving away from the demands of this dunya and finding our way back to the stillness of Tawakkul and having a lighter heart and softer productivity. Allah reminds us in the Qur’an, "Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear" (2:286), and this conversation is about trusting that if He has placed this season in your life, He has also provided the strength for you to carry it. Grab a coffee or a tea, find a cozy spot, and let’s sit down to remind our hearts that we don’t have to carry it all alone.

In a world that constantly pulls you in every direction, it’s easy to forget what calm actually feels like.

In this episode, we gently slow down and reflect on what it means to be a calm Muslim woman in a life filled with uncertainty, pressure, comparison, and constant mental noise. This is not about perfection, productivity, or having everything figured out. It is about learning how to return your heart to Allah when your thoughts feel heavy and your mind feels overwhelmed.

We explore the hidden reasons behind restlessness, how overthinking quietly drains your peace, and why so many of us struggle to feel settled even when nothing is “wrong” on the surface. Through Qur’anic reflections, reminders from the Sunnah, and gentle practical guidance, this episode invites you back to tawakkul, presence, and emotional grounding in a way that feels soft, realistic, and deeply human.

59. she stopped rushing her life (a lesson on sabr, tawakkul, sakinah & calmness)

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu dear sister, in today’s episode, we are softly preparing our hearts for the blessed days of Dhul Hijjah, a month of mercy, forgiveness, return, and nearness to Allah. 

This episode is for the sister who wants to reconnect with Allah sincerely, without pressure or perfectionism. We speak about the virtues of these sacred days, preparing the heart before the routine, romanticising worship as a Muslim woman, the beauty of du’a, the power of Arafah, consistency in worship, and returning back to Allah with hope no matter how distant you may feel.

This is your reminder that Dhul Hijjah is not about becoming perfect overnight, it is about turning back to Allah with sincerity, softness, and trust in His mercy.

58. dhul hijjah diaries: returning back to Allah

Assalamu Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu. Sometimes we get so used to the world around us that we start to accept habits and mindsets as "normal" that don’t actually serve our souls or our connection with Allah. In this episode, we’re having a gentle reflection on unlearning the things we’ve unintentionally let drift into our lives. 

These are just a few of many behaviors that can quietly dim our light, from the way we navigate digital spaces to how we settle for less in our personal standards. 

Allah says in the Qur’an, "And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers" (51:55). 

This isn't about being perfect; it's about coming back to ourselves with love and choosing what truly honors the woman Allah created us to be. Let’s sit down together and rediscover the peace that comes when we prioritize His pleasure over the "norm."

57. stop normalising this as a muslim woman

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabaraktuhu my dear sisters.

As Muslim women, the way we choose to spend our quiet hours is a direct reflection of the Amanah (trust) we hold over our time. In this episode, we’re discussing how intentional habits and outlets can actually become a beautiful form of Ibadah (worship) when fueled by the right Niyyah (intention). Allah tells us in the Qur’an, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds" (6:162), reminding us that every corner of our lifestyle, even our personal interests, can be a means of seeking His closeness. It’s time to move away from habits that drain your energy and toward those that nourish your soul, bring you Barakah, and refine your character. Let’s talk about how to curate a life where even your rest is a deliberate step toward Jannah.
