On October 16th, 1920 the body of a missing bank employee is discovered within New Jersey’s sprawling pine barrens. His clothes are all wet, despite being some distance from the nearest stream, and he’s been robbed of over $40,000 in cash. Strangest of all his body seems to have been somehow…pickled. The Case of the Pickled Corpse

The murder of billionaire Sir Harry Oakes in the Bahamas in 1943 causes a sensation across the world. The prime suspect is Oakes’ son-in-law, Count Alfred de Marigny. But Oakes’ daughter Nancy refuses to believe in her husband’s guilt and hires New York-based PI Ray Schindler to clear de Marigny’s name. Ray flies to the paradise island of New Providence and gets straight down to work, interviewing witnesses, following up clues, and piecing together the circumstances of Oakes’ death. Before long, he finds himself drawn into a complex mystery straight from the pages of a classic whodunnit.

In the Bahamas of the 1940s, private eye Ray Schindler continues his investigation into the murder of billionaire Sir Harry Oakes. The case against Count Alfred de Marigny appears strong when one of his fingerprints is discovered at the scene of the crime. And the two American homicide cops brought in to investigate are convinced of his guilt. But Ray suspects that someone powerful is trying to frame de Marigny. As the date of the trial approaches, time is running out for Ray. Will he succeed in clearing de Marigny’s name? Or will an innocent man hang for a crime he didn’t commit?

The Dulcimer Murder

In 2014, Dutch art detective Arthur Brand hears about a controversial artwork that someone is offering for sale on the black market - a pair of monumental bronze horses by one of Hitler’s favourite sculptors. Like everyone else, Arthur thought the statues had been destroyed in the war. So are they genuine? Or is the whole thing a daring hoax? And who is behind it? Arthur fears the sellers are violent neo-Nazis who will use the proceeds to fund their terrorist activities. To thwart their plans, he must enter a shadowy world of dodgy art dealers and Nazi sympathisers.

The Nazi Art Mystery (Part 3 of 3)

In February 1861, concerned railroad bosses learned of a plot to destroy the main route to Washington DC, in order to disrupt the inauguration of President-Elect, Abraham Lincoln. They immediately called in the country’s leading Private Detectives to help stop the attack. Allan Pinkerton, of the famous Pinkerton National Detective Agency, took two of his top agents—Kate Warne and new recruit, Harry Davies, straight to Baltimore to find out what was afoot. There, they discovered that the plot against the railroad was just the tip of the iceberg. These disgruntled Southerners would stop at nothing to prevent Lincoln from reaching Washington. Even if that meant killing the man himself.
