His research focuses on the intersections of religion, science, politics, and history with mass media, especially film. Interfaith work is different from missionary work. For those who don't have this experience, it is difficult not to fall into a missionary mindset. But there is goodness to be had in creating relationships with others even if the goal is not conversion. President Nelson gives great examples of this and summarizes this idea in his "Peacemakers" talk.
