Can We Save Marriage And Christianity?

- I had a very positive call with Aaron Sherinian a couple of days ago. 
 
- There was already a tinderbox set before this Q&A match was lit.
 
- It is not good to bury our heads in the sand on what is happening to the family.
 
People have valid reasons for being concerned. Aaron Sherininian is a good man. Both can be true at the same time. We need to distinguish between the person and the issue.

Cardon Ellis from Ward Radio joins me on my first joint "walk." We stepped out from the FAIR conference (a great conference and organization) for a few minutes to discuss the Q&A with Church Comms Director, Aaron Sherinian.
 
We talk about some of the ridiculous statements from LDX (online community), discernment between an act and the person, and the background that led to so many people asking the question on his stance on The Family Proclamation to begin with. 
 
Also important, the reaction by a loud minority of online trolls against FAIR and even Aaron Sherinian is disappointing. First, FAIR is an incredible organization that I fully support. Scott has done a fantastic job running that organization. Second, please more fully separate the person from the act and focus on the act, not the person. I don't bring these things up to look for a scapegoat or create a witch hunt. But for some, they can't help themselves. I am about the actual issues. In almost all cases, I bring up the event without bringing up a name. Obviously, in this case, that is not possible.

John Taylor, Wilford Woodruff, and Lorenzo Snow, the third, fourth, and fifth presidents of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, all would have had to have been liars. Also, the second, third, and fourth Relief Society Presidents all stated that Joseph Smith practiced polygamy.

What The Numbers Say About Members Of the LDS Church

Joshua's Altar where excavation began in 1982, but not until now has its report been created. Kosher animal bones, the same design as the Second Temple Altar, and the right time period all denote the authenticity of the large altar structure found in the exact right place on Mt. Ebal.
 
Now, just recently a lead "Curse Tablet" has been found at the altar made of lead and engraved with the curse language of Joshua 8. And it's in Hebrew! And it mentions YHW (Jehovah), If authentic, this find could turn Biblical Scholarship on its head. It means the Israelites were a separate people from the Canaanites and provides archeological evidence for the Exodus.
