Dallas: From Contender to Gladiator

Before becoming the beloved Laser in the American Gladiators show, Jim Starr got drafted by the USFL, and played for the Kansas Chiefs, and the LA Rams, where he met Dan Clark, better known as “Nitro”. Laser is the longest-serving Gladiator, competing in all the seasons of the TV show and the Live Tour.

Laser: The Longest-Serving Gladiator

In 1979 Steve Henneberry bought his first Muscle Fitness magazine and when he saw the cover, he tought to himself “what would it be like being Mr. America?”. A decade later, with discipline and hard work, he became Mr. America. He joined the American Gladiators at first to fill up for Turbo, who had a knee injury, but the crowd liked him so much that he ended up staying and becoming a household name.

Tower: From Wisconsin to California

Shari Pendleton Mitchell, better known as Blaze, was a very active child. She is an athlete, she started track and field when she was about 12 years old, and hasn’t stopped training since.
