The Escape Room that Nobody can get out of (Live Show)

After a disappointment at Wembley and an emotional goodbye to Kevin De Bruyne in a 3-1 win over Bournemouth, David Mooney is joined by City fan Richard Burns, The Athletic's Jon Mackenzie, and, from StatCity.co.uk, Adam Carter, to review the week.

What's the difference between the denial of a goalscoring opportunity on a Saturday in a Cup Final and the denial of a goalscoring opportunity on a Tuesday in the Premier League? Lots, apparently, so we'll get into all of that. Plus, we look at the bigger picture, as performances continue to improve and the team continues to look more stable (albeit with the odd 'bozo' moment).

With a crucial game against Fulham coming up where City need a point to be sure of playing in next season's Champions League, we look ahead to that and the nerves about how tight the table is in the hunt for the top five. And it's time for the alternative highlights of the season with Ciaran Murray (with a cameo from a special guest, too).

Curtains Closed, Lights Off, Nobody Move

After a dour 0-0 draw at Southampton and ahead of a third successive FA Cup Final appearance, David Mooney is joined by City fan Ally Fogg and, from StatCity.co.uk, Adam Carter. They discuss the bore draw on the south coast and look at Ruben Dias's comments after the game: Fair enough or should he keep quiet with those grumbles?

Crystal Palace fan Robbie Scotcher joins the show to give insight into the feeling at Selhurst Park ahead of the trip to Wembley. Plus, there's the match with Bournemouth... where City might be needing to play catch-up in the race to finish in the top five. 

That Bournemouth game is likely to be the final time that Kevin De Bruyne pulls on a blue shirt for a competitive game at The Etihad, so we're taking some time to look at his legacy at the club before what will be one of the toughest goodbyes ever said to a departing player.

On top of that, there's been some transfer rumours bouncing around the mill this week, so we have a look at what's been said about Florian Wirtz, Tijjani Reijnders, Morgan Gibbs-White and Tino Livramento.

Following Manchester City's 1-0 win over Wolves, David Mooney is joined by City fan Richard Burns and, from Sporting News, Dom Farrell, to discuss the performance and big moments from the match. They look at the displays from both Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva, plus they talk about the fan protests from the first six minutes.

With already-relegated Southampton up next, Sam Rosbottom gives us the details of all the times previously when City have faced a team in the Premier League that have already been doomed to finish inside the bottom three.

On Sunday 7 May 2000, Manchester City completed back-to-back promotions to return to the Premier League. Just under a year after winning the third tier playoff in a dramatic match at Wembley with Gillingham, the team came from behind to win an extraordinary game with Blackburn at Ewood Park to win promotion to the Premier League. For the first time in a long time, the club were no longer under-achieving. 

In this special episode, David Mooney speaks to all of the key figures from the 1999-2000 season to get the inside story of how the club was able to complete its recovery from its lowest ever position to return to the top flight of English football.

Promotion at Blackburn: The 25th Anniversary Special

Another successful trip to Wembley for Pep Guardiola means a third FA Cup final in a row for Manchester City. David Mooney is joined by One Football's Dan Burke and, from the Manchester Evening News, Simon Bajkowski to discuss the 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest, with a particular focus on Rico Lewis after his performance in midfield.

After the impact that Nico O'Reilly has made to the team in the last few weeks, we take a look at all of the makeshift left backs that Guardiola has employed at City - and how he's changed their role in the team depending on the skills they have. Plus we look at the role that O'Reilly could have been now and the end of the season and beyond.

After Manchester City's unfortunate defeat at Arsenal, David Mooney is joined by City fans Richard Burns and Sam Roscoe to discuss the talking points... Life without Rodri is hard, Kovacic is a very lucky boy, and the approach to the game might not have been the worst thing in the world (until viewed after the loss).

Also on the show, we're taking a look at goalkeepers who weren't where you'd expect them to be. Sam's been focusing on the times outfielders have ended up between the sticks and the times when goalies have been let loose outfield.

With the Etihad announced as one of the venues for Euro 2028, we'll look at some of the international games played on that ground already - plus we take some time to look at City matches that were abandoned and the best entrance music for the team.
