In this episode I'm joined by Phil Costa to run the rule over Arsenal's 1-0 win over Napoli in the Champions League on Wednesday evening. We chat about Mikel Arteta's rotations with four changes from the side that beat Chelsea, and how encouraging it was to see the team create so many chances against an opposition low block, something we've often struggled with in the past. We chat about the opportunities missed by the likes of Bukayo Saka, Mikel Merino and Piero Hincapie, before we turn our attention to Martin Odegaard whose overall performance was so impressive, and whose brilliant goal was decisive. We also try to gauge the low-touch involvement of our centre-forward in such a dominant performance, and where the onus lies of getting more out of him. There's also a look at some of the other Champions League action this week, and more besides.

Arsenal Women Arsecast Episode 173: Baum Brightens Arsenal’s Day in Crawley

In this episode we chat about the 2-1 win over Chelsea on Sunday, starting with Arsenal falling behind early on, but reacting really well and playing the kind of football that really connects with fans. We discuss the impact of the front four, but also the way the two full backs add a lot to our forward play, even if that does leave us a bit more open than we're used to. We analyse the goals from Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard, David Raya's influence on the team, the way second half changes impacted our techincal level, as well as incidents involving Declan Rice and Morgan Rogers and Gabriel and Emi Martinez's head, before we end part one with a look at how our opening three games have gone so far. In this episode we chat about the 1-0 win over Aston Villa on Monday night. We discuss the timing of our visit there, the influence of Riccardo Calafiori, Bukayo Saka's second goal in as many games, a difficult night for Christos Tzolis, and an encouraging one for second half substitute Bruno Guimaraes. Episode 889 - A new season ...

In this episode we chat about Sunday's 3-0 win over Man City in the Community Shield. We start with the brilliant early goal we scored through Riccardo Calafiori, and the superb vision of Myles Lewis-Skelly, before some focus on Martin Odegaard and Christos Tzolis as two players who really caught the eye. We also discuss David Raya, promising signs from Arsenal's performance in terms of our attacking play, and the competitive debut for Bruno Guimaraes, before attention turns to players who weren't there and what we might read into the absence of Gabriel Martinelli in particular. In part two we answer questions about Arsenal's transfer business, amid confusion around aspects of the finances. If we could buy Vinicius Junior and pay his wages, why is it being reported we need to sell, and is it coincidence that it's players like Lewis-Skelly, Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri most strongly linked with moves away?
