Arseblog Arsecast, The Arsenal Podcast

In this episode I'm joined by Lewis Ambrose to look back at Tuesday night's 1-0 win over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg. We discuss Chelsea's approach to a game they had to score in, and their decision to essentially nullify the game for an hour, giving them less time to find a goal. Was this an understandable tactical approach from Liam Rosenior, or something of a misstep. We also chat about how Arsenal dealt with the game, leaning into our defensive solidity, before scoring what was a very enjoyable goal right at the end through Kai Havertz to absolutely ensure our pathway to a Wembley final next month. As well as that, there's discussion of what this trophy might mean for the team and the fans after so long without tangible success, and lots more besides.

Arsenal Women Arsecast Episode 153: We are the champions...of the world

In this episode we look back at the 4-0 win over Leeds at Elland Road on Saturday. We chat about the team selection which saw Kai Havertz start, and help bring a different kind of dynamic to the team's midfield set-up, with Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi playing distinct roles too. We also discuss Noni Madueke, a late call-up after Bukayo Saka's warm-up injury, and his contribution with an assist and a belatedly awarded goal. In the second half Viktor Gyokeres missed a chance but also tucked one away well, there were important cameos off the bench from Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus, and a resounding win was made more impactful by the points Man City dropped yesterday. Arsecast Extra Episode 679 - 02.02.2026

In this episode I'm joined by Charles Watts to look back at Arsenal's 3-2 win over Kairat Almaty in the Champions League on Wednesday evening. Arsenal Women Arsecast Episode 152: FIFA Champions Cup Preview Special

Episode 861 - Get it Inter ya ...

In this episode we look back at the 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest on Saturday. We start by reckoning with the fact we've extended our lead at the top, despite a sense of frustration that permeated after a goalless draw. Then we move onto the match itself, and the key incidents including big chances missed by Gabriel Martinelli and Viktor Gyokeres, with some focus on the striker, what he's not bringing to the team right now, and what that requires of Mikel Arteta. There were second half changes, a slightly contentious penalty incident, but the game played out in disappointing fashion as we struggled to create.
