The major television networks are standing with CNN by declining to replace its White House pool crew after the Trump administration barred CNN from fulfilling its assigned duties today. “The public has a vital interest in receiving accurate, independent information about its government. No administration should restrict a news organization because it objects to its reporting,” ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News and NBC said in a rare joint statement. Plus, the Venezuelan DoorDash driver shot by an ICE agent in Texas talks to reporters while in custody, after his attorney revealed he has "a bullet in his back".

Major TV Networks Stand with CNN, Decline to Replace WH Pool Crew

It centers on new reporting in The Washington Post, that the administration has removed language, on signage and a web page, criticizing a memorial to the Confederacy formerly located in Arlington National Cemetery. A memorial they intend to restore and put back. Plus, nearly 25 years after the day, new documents confirming what many suspected, the air near Ground Zero was less safe to breathe than officials let on; vital information the public simply was not told.

Keeping Them Honest: Rewriting History

The second day of the former president’s criminal hush money trial ended with the selection of seven jurors. Five more are needed, plus alternates. While he left court, he was asked if he believed that the jury could be fair. "I’ll let you know after- after the trial, depending on what happens,” he responded. Former federal prosecutors Jeffrey Toobin and Jessica Roth, along with jury consultant Alan Tuerkheimer, discuss the jury selection and the pace of the trial so far. Plus, Gary Tuchman traveled to one county in Texas that has voted Trump the last two elections and asks residents if this criminal trial could affect their support for the former president.
