We Were Supposed To Meet In Mexico, Instead We Met At His Husband’s Funeral

Our dear, late friend and guardian angel, PR guru Howard Bragman had just invited us to meet the new man in his life on a trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Howard was offering us a safe space, away from the paparazzi and nosy tabloid reporters, after a particularly tough day negotiating our exit from ABC. Howard wanted us to meet the man he said he was going to marry one day, Mike Maimone, but God had other plans. Just days after accepting his offer, Howard suddenly passed from an acute and deadly form of leukemia, but the day before he passed, Mike proposed and the two married at Howard’s hospital bedside. We eventually did meet Mike, a few weeks later at Howard’s memorial service, and now he’s become a forever friend to us. Mike has penned a book detailing his beautiful love story with Howard, honoring the man we all miss each and everyday. Our conversation with Mike Maimone on his book, “Guess What? I Love You."
