It was a dark day that transfixed America and the world when a sea of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol on January 6th, 2021, hoping to overturn Joe Biden's election victory. Five people died in the melee. Now -- seventeen months later -- the much anticipated first public hearings of the committee investigating the insurrection have taken place. Pamela Brown reports.

The other big issue on this week's agenda was gun violence. While President Biden says that he won't abuse his executive power to enact gun restrictions, a bipartisan group of senators say they are making progress on bills designed to prevent gun deaths. Few people are monitoring this as closely as Cameron Kasky, who was 17 years old when a gunman stormed his high school in Parkland, Florida in 2018. The massacre propelled him and other survivors to start a gun control movement which saw more than one million people flood the streets across the country in the 'March for Our Lives.' Now they've called for another march this Saturday. Cameron spoke to Christiane about whether he thinks there can be change.
