In this episode, Endeavor flight 5094 is preparing for takeoff from Laguardia airport (LGA) when pilots alert the tower of something strange.
 
A person is walking around on the runway where the aircraft is scheduled to depart from.
 
Police and ground crews are dispatched to check out what's going on.

ATOOC: Nice Little Stroll at LGA

In this episode, we are going to listen in on the ATC communications from the recent near collision between Delta and United flights in Phoenix.
 
Delta Flight 1070 had been cleared to land at Sky Harbor’s Runway 8 when a collision warning went off in the cockpit. The flight, carrying 245 passengers, was inbound from Detroit.
 
At the same time, a similar alert was set off on United Flight 1724, arriving from San Francisco, carrying 123 passengers and six crew members.

ATOOC: Near Collision at PHX

In this episode, we fly over to Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International (ATL) where snow is wreaking havoc on airport operations.
 
To add to the chaos, a Delta flight experiences an engine fire upon takeoff and needs to evacuate on the runway in the midst of the inclement weather.

ATOOC: Snow Wreaking Havoc at ATL

In this episode, we fly up to Newark (EWR) where a controller is growing frustrated with one of the pilots in his airspace.
 
Execjet flight 636 is coming in for an approach and seems to not be listening to the tower's instructions.
 
After several attempts to direct the pilot, the controller loses his patience.

ATOOC: Don't Mess with the EWR Tower

In this episode, a student pilot has himself in a bit of a situation near San Bernadino (SBD), California.
 
The weather has turned hazy and the inexperienced pilot has become disoriented.
 
Luckily, the pilot has a very helpful controller in the tower, who guides him back to safety.

ATOOC: Hazy Student Over San Bernadino

Our thoughts go out to all of the families who lost someone in this recent tragedy. 
 
In this episode, we have the audio from the control tower leading up to the mid-air crash of American Eagle flight 5342 and an Army helicopter near Washington Reagan airport (DCA).
 
The flight was carrying 64 passengers and crew from Wichita, Kansas to DC and collided with the helicopter performing a training flight with 3 service members on board.
 
As it stands now, the day after, authorities believe there are no survivors.

ATOOC: January 29th Crash Near DCA

In this episode, we have the audio from the crash landing of Delta Endeavor flight 4819 traveling from Minneapolis (MSP) to Toronto (YYZ).
 
In this clip, you will hear the chaos that ensued once the plane came to rest upside down on the runway, catching fire.
 
The tower engages emergency crews immediately as it attempts to hold incoming traffic to Toronto Pearson.

ATOOC: Delta Crash Landing at YYZ

In this episode, we fly over to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA). Heavy wind gusts caused an Elite Air Challenger 300 series aircraft to violently swerve on takeoff.
 
This resulted in a wing strike and the aircraft exiting the runway, coming to rest on the grass.
 
The tower puts a hold on all other aircraft and closes the airport.
