Advantage Connors is an ongoing conversation between Tennis legend Jimmy Connors & Brett Connors. Follow along as they cover the worlds of tennis & gambling on a weekly basis along with whatever else pops into their head that day. Jimmy Connors is a tennis legend having played professionally for over 30 years. His record 109 ATP tournament wins still stands today, & includes 8 grand slam singles titles. Brett Connors is a producer for Tennis Channel and has worked in live tennis production for 15 years. Having also traveled the tour with his father in the 80’s and 90’s which gives Brett a unique view of the sport.

Jimmy and Brett are back from NYC and the US Open and are ready to discuss everything they saw on finals weekend. Joined by traveling buddy and friend of the show Spencer Segura, they break it all down.

Zverev gets his second major of the summer and has quickly changed his career narrative from the best to not win one, to a first ballot hall of famer.

Ben Shelton had a great two week run, beating quality opponents at every round along the way. He just ran into a better player in the final in Zverev. Ben is getting closer to being the first American man to win a major since Andy Roddick in 2003, what can he do to improve?

Elena Rybakina was supposed to be hurt coming into Flushing Meadows. But boy did she play some amazing tennis to take home the trophy and become the newest member of the #1 club.

Aryna Sabalenka looked good getting to the US Open finals, but just ran into a player who was player better and was more focused. Maybe this will be a good wake up call for her to try and regain her place at the top of the WTA tour.

Jimmy and Brett are joined by special guest and friend of the pod Mike Lupica. Lupica is an American author and former newspaper columnist, best known for his commentary on sports in the New York Daily News and his appearances on ESPN's "The Sports Reporters". He is also a best selling Author of both fiction and non fiction books. He covered tennis and Jimmy's career and was there in 1991 for his epic run to the semi finals at 39 years old. He joins Advantage Connors to check in on the current US Open and reminisce about some great memories from US Open's past.

Brett and Jimmy check in from vacation to give their opinions on all the craziness going on in Paris at Roland Garros. 

If Sascha Zverev can't win his first major now then it might never happen. He is the dominant favorite to come out with the trophy but will old demons creep in at the worst time? 

Aryna Sabalenka once again failed to finish in a grand slam match where she was in total control. This has become a unfortunate trend for the world #1 the past two years. It's a crazy dichotomy where on one hand she is by far the most dominant player on the WTA tour, but also has a hard time taking advantage of her chances to add to her grand slam total. 

Flavio Cobolli faces off against fellow Italian Matteo Arnaldi in the top half semi making for a great opportunity for both players to make it further that they have ever been before. 

Can Mirra Andreeva conquer her Roland Garros demons from last year by coming out on top of the women's side?
