Advantage Connors is an ongoing conversation between Tennis legend Jimmy Connors & Brett Connors. Follow along as they cover the worlds of tennis & gambling on a weekly basis along with whatever else pops into their head that day. Jimmy Connors is a tennis legend having played professionally for over 30 years. His record 109 ATP tournament wins still stands today, & includes 8 grand slam singles titles. Brett Connors is a producer for Tennis Channel and has worked in live tennis production for 14 years. Having also traveled the tour with his father in the 80’s and 90’s this gives Brett a unique view of the sport.

Jannik Sinner captured his 22 career title on the indoor courts in Vienna and continued to prove that he's close to unbeatable indoors the past few years.

Joao Fonseca, the young Brazilian teenage phenom won his first ATP 500 title in Basel last week defeating Davidovich Fokina in straight sets. Can he be a challenger to the Sinner and Alcaraz era?

Jimmy talks about taking a photo with a young Swiss ball kid in Basel years ago who would turned out to be the great Roger Federer. 

Is the tennis season too long? With so many players quitting mid match late in the year makes us ask if the tours need to reconsider the schedule.

Jimmy & Brett answer some listener questions

Jimmy and Brett are joined once again by friend and tennis connoisseur Spencer Segura to break down all things US Open after attending the final weekend. 

Carlos Alcaraz has been amazing since Monte Carlo and continued his hot play in Flushing the past two weeks. He has now won 7 or the last 8 matches against Sinner and won his 6th major at just 22 years old. 

Djokovic is still the third best player in the world, he just can't beat Sinner and Alcaraz.

Sabalenka was on a mission to win a slam after coming so close in the first 3 majors of the year. Beating 2 straight Americans to do so. 

Amanda Anisimova bounced back after her heartbreaking loss at Wimbledon. She has the game to win a major, and now has the experience to build on.

US Open 2025 preview, Mixed doubles event, PGA Tour Championship

Brett gives us a Cincinnati update as they head into the final weekend in Ohio. 

Sinner will play Alcaraz in the final for the 14th time in their young careers with Carlos leading the head 2 head 8-5.

Alex de Minaur saved 3 championship points to capture his first title of the season in dramatic fashion.

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina played great tennis all week beating two top ten players along the way to the final. But could not close the match out losing 3 championship points to the Australian. This isn't the first time this has happen to the Spaniard this year.

Sinner, Alcaraz, Djokovic, Draper and Sabalenka all decided to skip the Canadian Masters this week. This draws more attention to the fact of how long the tennis season really is and the demands it puts on the tops players who go deep every week.

Scottie Scheffler did it again, won a big golf tournament. This time across the pond at the British Open defeating the rest of the field by at least 4 shots to pick up his 4th major so far.
