Advantage Connors is an ongoing conversation between Tennis legend Jimmy Connors & Brett Connors. Follow along as they cover the worlds of tennis & gambling on a weekly basis along with whatever else pops into their head that day. Jimmy Connors is a tennis legend having played professionally for over 30 years. His record 109 ATP tournament wins still stands today, & includes 8 grand slam singles titles. Brett Connors is a producer for Tennis Channel and has worked in live tennis production for 15 years. Having also traveled the tour with his father in the 80’s and 90’s which gives Brett a unique view of the sport.

Dr Richard Scheinberg is back on the show to discuss some the biggest injury stories on the ATP/WTA tours. As an orthopedic surgeon with over 50 years experience and having operated on both Jimmy and Brett in the past, the Dr knows his stuff. Tune in as they discuss the pressure the modern game puts on players today and what you can do as a casual player to help prevent injuries on the court.

Jimmy and Brett are back from vacation to break down the weekend at Roland Garros.

Sascha Zverev was finally able to throw off all the demons of past majors to get his first grand slam title in Paris.

Mirra Andreeva is a major champion at 19, and it feels like this will be the first of many for her career.

Maja Chwalinska won 9 straight matches to make her first major final, hopefully this is just the beginning for her going forward.

Zverev gets his major, Andreeva RG champ at 19, Chwalinska breaks through

Brett and Jimmy check in from vacation to give their opinions on all the craziness going on in Paris at Roland Garros. 

If Sascha Zverev can't win his first major now then it might never happen. He is the dominant favorite to come out with the trophy but will old demons creep in at the worst time? 

Aryna Sabalenka once again failed to finish in a grand slam match where she was in total control. This has become a unfortunate trend for the world #1 the past two years. It's a crazy dichotomy where on one hand she is by far the most dominant player on the WTA tour, but also has a hard time taking advantage of her chances to add to her grand slam total. 

Flavio Cobolli faces off against fellow Italian Matteo Arnaldi in the top half semi making for a great opportunity for both players to make it further that they have ever been before.

Sinner wins Monte Carlo and regains #1, McIlroy goes back to back at The Masters

Special guest Spencer Segura returns to the show to help Jimmy and Brett breakdown an exciting Miami Open.

Jannik Sinner continued to show his hard court dominance beating Jiri Lehecka to complete the sunshine double. Sinner has closed the gap some on world #1 Carlos Alcaraz as we head to the clay court season. 

Aryna Sabalenka also completed her own sunshine double as she is by far the most consistent player on the WTA. She took down Coco Gauff in a competitive final to capture her second Miami Open trophy.

Sinner & Sabalenka serve up the sunshine double, Miami recap w Spencer Segura

Jimmy drove down to have dinner at Nan Ban Kan, and record a fresh episode of the podcast. 

Jannik Sinner wins his first Indian Wells crown, which was the only Masters 1000 hard court title missing from his resume. Having only played 2 tournaments so far this year it was nice to see the young Italian play some of the best tennis of the year. 

Aryna Sabalenka also broke through to win her first IW title after being runner up in 2025 to Andreeva. She played an instant classic vs AO champ Elena Rybakina in the final winning 7-6 in the third. 

Daniil Medvedev is back playing some of the best tennis of his career and is back in the top ten of the ATP tour. Med played a great match beating Carlos Alcaraz in the SF and almost pushing Sinner to 3 in the final. With 2 titles on the year already it seems like there is more positive things ahead for the Russian. 

Elena Rybakina has been one of the best players in the world the past 9 months. The AO champ played some amazing tennis to get to the final and was up a set and a break on Sabby before things turned around. In what has to be one of the best matches of the year the two biggest hitters on tour blasted away for 3 high powered sets. Sadly someone had to lose, but something tells us these two will play more important matches down the road.
