Oscar must discover if a bird with a broken wing can learn to fly, or is destined to stay earthbound for ever. Andrew Sheridan's play Winterlong was joint winner of the 2008 Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting. It was first staged at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester, in 2011.
