As we go through life we weather many storms. We lose family members, close friends and animals we love, and they take with them the warmth and shared memories of many years. Alice discovered recently that the loss of a much-loved tree, planted before she was born, caused an emotional upheaval she had not anticipated. With the loss of her favourite tree that had enriched her life for decades, she began to ask herself are there ways to make later life rich and interesting?
