In the heart of Rome, in 2022, Giulia, a young archaeologist, is given the opportunity to lead an excavation at Ostia Antica. Her work will lead her to uncover secrets buried for centuries, while she struggles to rebuild her life after the death of her husband. Among mosaics and vestiges of a lost civilization, the past seems to whisper messages to her that defy the logic of time. Twenty centuries earlier, in 79 AD, when Vesuvius threatens to bury Pompeii forever, another story unfolds in ancient Rome. Flavia, a teenager, caught in the shadows of her destiny, seeks a way to leave her mark before time erases her. Two stories separated by millennia, but united by an invisible thread: the fleeting nature of existence and the eternal question of the relativity of time. Natalia Moderc plays with the boundary between the present and the past, reminding us that, although everything seems ephemeral, there are connections that transcend eras and souls destined to meet.
