Untamed Balance: Riding Lessons With Possessive Horse Trainer

Amelia Cross didn't plan on stopping. The storm had other ideas.

One wrong turn during a downpour, and she's sheltering in a remote equestrian arena, mud on her boots and no signal on her phone, waiting it out with a horse trainer named Rowan Vale who looks like he's never been rattled by anything in his life.

He's calm in a way she's not used to. Direct. When he starts correcting her posture on horseback - hands here, weight there, stop gripping - she tells herself it's just practical. It doesn't stay practical for long.

Rowan works with animals that don't respond to force, only patience and precision. Amelia is something different entirely. She's controlled, defended, running a life scheduled down to the hour. He finds that more interesting than he should.

Outside, rain hammers the metal roof. Inside, the space between instruction and something else gets thinner with every quiet exchange. What starts as balance drills turns into something that has nothing to do with horses. She's learning to let her weight settle, to trust the ground beneath her. He's realizing he doesn't want to just teach her and move on.

She didn't come here for this. He wasn't looking for it either.

When the roads finally clear, will Amelia drive back to her structured life, or stay for the one thing she never put on her calendar?

If you crave high-tension encounters, accidental intimacy, and dangerously addictive chemistry, step into the world of Dangerously Close, where one unexpected moment is all it takes to lose control.

Some encounters don't announce themselves. They just happen, and suddenly everything is different.

Dangerously Close is a collection of high-stakes steamy romances, each one built around a moment of collision: a storm rolls in, a door locks, a situation spirals past the point of easy exit. Strangers end up sharing the same tight space, the same crisis, the same silence pressing in from all sides. The kind of closeness that strips away small talk and skips straight to the nerve.

Every heroine here is new to this. Not naive, just unexplored - pushed past her usual edges by a man who reads the room faster than she does and doesn't look away. What kicks off as necessity, coincidence, or pure survival instinct shifts into something she didn't budget for. Intense. Real. Hard to close the door on.

The heat builds differently in each story. A car cutting through empty highway in the dead of night. Rain hammering a window while two people figure out there's only one room left. Urgency that strips the usual rules down to nothing.

Each book stands on its own. No need to read in order, no loose threads left hanging. But the thread that runs through all of them is the same: proximity changes people. Risk opens things up. And the moment everything tips? Neither of them saw it coming.

Every story is standalone. All of them will make you miss sleep.
