The Secret of the Earth is a science fiction "lost race"novel by American writer Charles Willing Beale first published in 1899. A classic novel which features a lost race living in a subterranean world. The Secret of the Earth is a superb Science Fiction novel that will "be thrilling experience for "SF" readers. Charles Willing Beale (1845-1932) was an American author who wrote supernatural stories like The Ghost of Guir House (1897) and science fiction like The Secret of the Earth (1899). He was born in Washington and and educated at the University of Pennsylvania.
