The Plus-One Rules: A Steamy Sapphic Fake Dating Romance

Seven rules. One fake girlfriend. A wedding in Portugal. What could possibly go wrong?

Romy Castellano has a problem.

Her sister's destination wedding is approaching, her mother is determined to find her a girlfriend, and Romy would rather photograph a hundred collapsing desserts than survive another family matchmaking disaster.

So she announces she's bringing her girlfriend.

The girlfriend she doesn't actually have.

Enter Delphine Okoro.

Thirty-five, devastatingly composed, impossibly attractive, and Romy's best friend for three years. Del is a brilliant sommelier who takes everything seriously—including the seven rules she insists they establish before agreeing to become Romy's pretend girlfriend.

Rule one: Only kiss when someone's watching.

Rule three: Stay on your own side of the bed.

Rule seven: Absolutely nobody falls in love.

Simple.

Until they arrive at a gorgeous Portuguese vineyard and discover their room has exactly one bed.

And Romy's ex-girlfriend is attending the wedding.

Suddenly, stolen kisses become dangerously convincing. Late-night conversations turn into something neither woman can explain away. And the chemistry they've spent years pretending not to notice becomes impossible to resist.

But Del has already experienced what it means to be wanted in private and dismissed in public.

And Romy has spent her entire life making jokes about the things she's most afraid to lose.

With the wedding approaching and their flight home looming, both women must decide whether their relationship is simply the performance of a lifetime—or the love they've been waiting years to admit.

A deliciously steamy sapphic romantic comedy featuring fake dating, best friends secretly in love, only one bed, irresistible chemistry, and a guaranteed happily-ever-after.
