The story of Moses is one of the most well-known biblical accounts. The burning bush, the plagues in Egypt, the parting of the sea and the 10 Commandments are widely familiar scenes that have been adapted for novels, art and film over the centuries. But what is factual and what fictitious elements have current adaptations added to our imagination?

As Moses flees into the wilderness he meets Zipporah, Jethro and the LORD. These encounters compel him return to Egypt and the vocation that will take the rest of his life.
