Frank R. Stockton was an American writer whose work appeared in publications such as Scribner’s Magazine and The Century Magazine. Stockton also wrote novels including Rudder Grange and The Late Mrs. Null, blending humor with sharp narrative twists. “The Lady, or the Tiger?” remains his most enduring work, often reprinted in anthologies and still debated more than a century later.
