The Kraken She Summoned: She Wanted a Guardian. She Got a Very Possessive Sea Monster.

Tessa Monroe has spent years building a life on her own terms. Her seaside restaurant is her pride, her safe harbor, and the one place where her big personality can fill every room without apology. Yet the deep has other plans. When monsters begin rising from the water and threatening everything she loves, Tessa turns to the ancient sea magic in her blood and calls for a guardian.

What answers is no obedient protector.

Dorian Tide is a massive kraken shifter, powerful enough to drag ships beneath the waves and utterly unprepared for human rules. The moment he rises from the surf, he decides that Tessa is his to guard, his to claim, and his to keep. Personal space means nothing to him. Jealousy is an instinct he cannot name. And the idea that she might refuse to belong to anyone only confuses him more.

As the attacks grow worse and an older presence in the deep begins to stir, Tessa finds herself caught between the safety she requested and the overwhelming reality of the monster who answered. Every charged glance, every carefully restrained touch, and every quiet moment of unexpected care pulls them closer. She wants to keep her independence. He wants to rewrite the meaning of protection. Neither of them expected the magic that brought them together to demand a price neither is willing to pay.

When the sea reveals that Dorian’s arrival may have been anything but an accident, Tessa must decide whether the creature she summoned came to save her town... or whether he is the one who needs saving most of all.

Can a woman who has always refused to be claimed learn to choose the monster who already chose her?

***

Each standalone story in The Monsters She Made introduces a new woman, a new monster, and a completely unexpected love story.

Nobody warned them their creations would choose them back.

The women in this series are overlooked, underestimated, and done waiting for something that fits. Each one reaches for forgotten magic to build what doesn't exist yet. A wicker husband. A stone guardian. A perfect magical construct. A powerful kraken. A shadow beast with motives of his own. And more to come.

Each creation was supposed to stay obedient. Manageable. Safely within the bounds of what she intended.

None of them do.

Every monster develops a mind, a heart, and a pull toward the woman who gave him life that he has no interest in suppressing. Attraction deepens into something neither maker nor made has language for. These unlikely pairs discover that the strangest love stories carry the most weight, and that sometimes the one who truly chooses her is the one she built with her own hands.

The monster she made. The man he became. Exactly who she needed.
