The Impact of the First World War on the Basque Country
This book tells the story of the First World War from the perspective of the Basque Country. It recounts the background to the First World War, to set context, and talks about how this war was experienced in the Basque Country including the after-effects it left behind, especially the human devastation wrought by the war. The social, economic, and political consequences it had in the Basque Country are discussed in this work, as it is clear that this conflict had a decisive influence on the future of the Northern Basque Country and its ties with France.
