‘The Hands of the Pianist’ tells the thrilling story of Charles Vincent, a talented pianist from the French countryside, who is inveigled into the English Secret Intelligence Service. It is 1939 and, as war threatens to engulf Paris, he becomes involved in the Resistance in France. Escaping the Nazis’ tightening net, he travels across the Pyrenees arriving in spy-ridden Lisbon. Returning to London by destroyer, he is entrusted with a mission to Leningrad to assist the Russians. There he discovers whom he can and cannot trust, before catastrophe threatens his classical musical debut at London’s Albert Hall.
