The Couple Upstairs: A Gripping and Twisty Tale of Obsession and Secrets From Bestselling Author Holly Wainwright

FINALIST FOR ITW THRILLER AWARDS

'A breathless, twisty plot . . . five stars' — Sally Hepworth, bestselling author of Mad Mabel

What would you do if the man who shattered your life fifteen years ago was living right above you?

When a new couple moves into the apartment above Mel’s, it isn’t the noise that keeps her awake. It’s him.

He is a perfect, terrifying double of the man who ruined her life. But this isn't a haunting. It’s a second chance.

As a stifling summer takes hold, Mel’s fascination spirals into a fever dream of obsession. Is he really the man she lost, or is the heat playing tricks on her mind?

When the man’s girlfriend moves in, the boundaries between their homes begin to blur. What starts as curiosity turns into a dangerous, voyeuristic game of cat and mouse.

Ready to rewrite her history at any cost, just how far will Mel go to fix the mistake that broke her?

Razor-sharp, atmospheric, and deeply unsettling, The Couple Upstairs is a propulsive exploration of obsession, identity, and the dark choices we make when we think no one is watching.
