In this profound autobiographical work, Imam Abu Hamid Muhammad al-Ghazali (1058–1111) recounts his intellectual and spiritual journey from the depths of philosophical skepticism to the certainty of mystical knowledge. Al-Ghazali offers practical guidance for preserving authentic belief and distinguishing genuine inspiration from delusion.
