The Body-Snatcher (Fantasy and Horror Classics)

A brilliant surgeon. A dark past. And the bodies that won't stay buried.

Edinburgh, 1820. Two ambitious medical students, Fettes and Macfarlane, are bound by a terrible secret: the corpses they dissect were not merely dug up, but freshly murdered for their surgical table.

The mastermind is the renowned and respected surgeon, Mr. K. But when Macfarlane and Fettes cross paths with the repulsive, drunken coachman who supplies the bodies, they find themselves dragged deeper into the grim trade of grave robbing, deception, and murder.

A single, terrifying encounter on a dark road forces the students to confront the true horror of their crimes. As their lives descend into guilt, paranoia, and desperate measures, the chilling conclusion proves that the dead rarely rest easily, and sometimes, the most horrific secrets are those you carry within yourself.

A masterpiece of psychological horror, The Body-Snatcher is Robert Louis Stevenson's dark, compelling exploration of morality, class, and the grim price of medical progress.
