Biografier
This is the last in a trilogy which began with Child of a Bygone Era, followed by The Growing Pains of a Colonial Boy and ending with this book, The Autumn Years of a Colonial Boy. They are all about my unique experiences as an advertising and marketing executive through the extraordinary decades from the 1940s to the present.
These were the decades that revolutionized the way we live today. The old social structure created by the Industrial Revolution had been dominated by manufacturing and production. These were blown away by the creation and development of the service industry, by computers, Wi-Fi, television, social media, advertising, credit cards and a desire for a now affordable good life for many. They were also the years that saw high inflation, recession, nuclear disasters, the Falklands' war, more wars in the Middle East, vicious strikes, social unrest, and the effects of increased immigration. Despite these high and lows, I managed to enjoy an unusual life which I hope you will find not only informative but an enjoyable reading experience. I certainly hope so.
