Different outlook of three fishes
In a pond there lived three fish namely Anagatvidhata, Pratyutpanmati and Yadbhavishya. One day, some fishermen saw the pond and said, "Ah! There are so many fishes in this pond. We will definitely come here tomorrow.” Hearing their words, the Anagatvidhata called all the fishes of the pond and said, “Did you listen to the fishermen? We should go to the nearby pond tonight to escape from them."
After listening to Anagatavidhata, the rest of the fish said, "We cannot leave our house and go to a new place."
Pratyutpanamathi said, “There may be new difficulties in a new place, we should stay here and try to avoid the fishermen.”
Yadbhavishya said, "Whatever is written in fate, it will happen. It is pointless to try anything like this."
Anagatavidhata went to another pond with her family that very night.
The next day when the fishermen spread their net, many fishes got caught in the net along with Pratyutpanmati and Yadbhavishya.
Pratyutpannamati pretended to die when she was caught in the trap and when the fishermen saw the dead fish, they threw it into the water and Pratytpannamati saved herself. But Yadbhavishya and other fish were caught.
That is why it is said that those who prepare in advance for calamity and try to avoid it when calamity comes are safe and those who leave everything to fate perish.
