It depicts the peculiar situation of Jabez Wilson, a pawnbroker who claims to have been offered a highly paid job because of his unique flame coloured hair. When his employer suddenly vanishes- leaving Wilson frustrated and confused- Holmes promises to get to the bottom of the mystery.
