Temporary Bliss

Temporary Bliss, a collection of poems, exhibits Christina M. Colangelo’s exploration and reflection on her identity and coming into her sexuality as a bisexual individual during her first relationship with a woman. This collection tells the story of first love and the feelings of being completely enamored with someone, only for the person to realize that the relationship can be no more than a period of temporary bliss between them and the other person. Unfortunately, things don’t always work out with the ones you fall for, and this collection has mainly served as a mediation to help Colangelo heal and grow after this whirlwind period in her life.

She only hopes some of these poems help spark the same sort of comfort and clarity for readers she experienced in writing this collection.

In her spare time, Colangelo enjoys writing, painting, reading, and spending time with her friends and loved ones.
