Some people can make it and Connie Mitchell, former teen runaway, hooker and heroin addict is one of those people. Connie creates a new life for herself, leaving behind the back-street drug deals and prostitution she practiced in Clearwater, Florida. She cleans up her act and moves to an idyllic town called Safety Harbor where she joins a local poetry group. It is within this group that Connie makes her best friends and worst enemy, a psychotic woman named Sharon Fuller. And Sharon Fuller is not alone; she has an accomplice, a highly influential man with a past to hide. It is he who decides she must die. Why?
