Surviving Sexploitation

Sandra Stevens’s parents wanted their daughter to attend private Catholic schools they could not afford so her mother and father cooked up a scheme. They would buy a motel called The Morocco and rent rooms by the hour in order to pay their child’s tuition.

The unwholesome effects such an environment can have on a child - who, as an adult, would eventually succumb to the siren call of easy money - is the subject of Surviving Sexploitation: The World’s Shortest Memoir.

With a ‘Prostitutes Are People Too!’ message, Ms. Stevens offers a story of recovery, hope, and, ultimately, survival. We all have stories to tell. No matter how challenging the start, Sandra Stevens encourages all survivors of child abuse to let their voices rise above the din.
