ABOUT THE ORIGINAL BOOK
In Terry Pratchett's “Thud!”, Commander Sam Vimes of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch finds himself in the midst of growing tension between dwarves and trolls. An assassination in the dwarven community unleashes old hatreds and fears, bringing the city to the brink of a race war. Vimes must navigate this conflict while discovering that the case is linked to an ancient battle in the Koom Valley and a mysterious relic containing a dangerous secret. The plot explores themes of prejudice, historical manipulation and the power of words as Vimes and his companions attempt to unravel the truth behind the conflict and avert a catastrophe. The story also reflects on the importance of law and justice, despite prejudice and emotion.
