#1 Drew is a small farming town in Mississippi, and was home to many athletes. It was a walk-everywhere kind of town, and survived well when I was a kid. But now it is on the ropes with the farming so bad.

#2 Baseball was my first love, and I spent all summer playing it. I didn’t care about how I looked or how I performed, I just enjoyed the game. In football, on the other hand, I was always concerned about how I looked and how I performed.

#3 I was a typical obnoxious Yankee fan, and I looked forward to watching the baseball Game of the Week with my father. My father never pushed me in sports, but he was always busy with his job at Case Farm Machinery store in Drew, Mississippi.

#4 I was always into football, and I was always into older athletes. I would come home for lunch, and hang around outside the high school waiting for Ronnie Steed, the star quarterback. Without knowing it, he was my fashion guru.
