#1 In the summer of 2015, I was a doctor at Hurley Medical Center, a teaching hospital on the campus of the University of Michigan. My wife, Reeva, and I had taken our two-year-old daughter, TL, there for annual checkups.

#2 As a doctor, I want to help people, and I want to help people help themselves. I believe in the power of education and information to make people better.

#3 I wanted to spend time with kids and impact as many lives as possible.
