#1 I have been mudlarking for years, searching for treasure in the Thames near London Bridge. I am obsessed with the river’s ebb and flow, and I know where the river allows me access early and where I can stay for the longest time before I am gently but firmly shooed away.

#2 I have been studying the tide tables for so long that they have become second nature. I never look at the high-water levels, but I know that a good low tide of 0. 5 meters and below will expose a decent amount of foraging space.

#3 The tides in London allow us to access the river's contents, which change as the water ebbs and flows. It is the tiniest of objects that tell the greatest stories.
