#1 On May 1, Chris Henkle and his friend Dee Connors went fishing. It was a welcome day off for Chris, who had a long-standing arrangement to go fishing with his friend Dee. As they launched the small boat into the choppy waters, it started raining. The seas were rough, and the wind was blowing.

#2 After closing the bag, Henkle nervously dialed 911 on his cell phone. The dispatcher told him to go to Island 4, where the Bridge-Tunnel police would meet him. When the same thing happened at Island 2, Henkle became angry.

#3 The legs were sent to the medical examiner, who determined that they were male. They had no smell or blood where the knees had been cut, as though someone had started to cut and had suddenly stopped.

#4 The investigation was focused on who the legs belonged to. They were in fairly good condition, with only a little dampness, and there were no signs of blood or biological fluids. But the two black plastic trash bags, which had contained the legs, were covered in a slimy wet film.
