#1 The study of God is the most excellent and consolatory subject for the mind. It is a subject so vast that all our thoughts are lost in its immensity, and so deep that our pride is drowned in its infinity.

#2 The study of God is worth it, and it is the most practical project anyone can engage in. Knowing about God is crucial for the living of our lives.

#3 God is the God of the Bible, and it is through studying him that we can understand what God wants from us. We must understand his nature and character in order to live life in accordance with his will.

#4 We must deal with the Godhead of God, the qualities of deity that set God apart from men and mark the difference between the Creator and his creatures. We must also deal with the powers of God, his almightiness, omniscience, and omnipresence.
