The Lord’s compassion is a shield of might,

That guards the soul through every lonely night;

No sin is greater than His power to heal,

For those who at His lotus footsteps kneel.

Ajamila had lived a life of shame,

But called his son—and shared the Savior's name;

The messengers of death were turned away,

By just one word he didn't mean to pray.
