Incorporating insights from both Christian theology and the perspectives of influential figures spanning from Freud to Simone Weil, the author navigates between conventional and contemporary, liberal and orthodox viewpoints. Throughout, the author adopts the stance of an inquisitive skeptic, unbound by traditional authorities such as church doctrine, scripture, or personal encounters. Yet, he also reflects on his own convictions, elucidating why, ultimately, he embraces faith.
