Advantage Connors is an ongoing conversation between Tennis legend Jimmy Connors & Brett Connors. Follow along as they cover the worlds of tennis & gambling on a weekly basis along with whatever else pops into their head that day. Jimmy Connors is a tennis legend having played professionally for over 30 years. His record 109 ATP tournament wins still stands today, & includes 8 grand slam singles titles. Brett Connors is a producer for Tennis Channel and has worked in live tennis production for 14 years. Having also traveled the tour with his father in the 80’s and 90’s this gives Brett a unique view of the sport.

Spencer Segura conversation Pt 2

Hideki Matsuyama broke the PGA record for lowest score ever in an event by posting -35 to win The Sentry in Kapalua over the weekend. Could this mean a 2nd green jacket could be in order later this year at the Masters for the Japanese player?

Aussie Open update, Collins talks smack, Draper survives, Medvedev upset

Jimmy and Brett are back to recap an exciting two weeks down under at the 2025 Australian Open.

Sinner continues to dominate the mens tour picking up his 3rd major in the last 12 months and backing up his AO victory in 2024. The Italian didn't drop a set from the QF's on and didn't face a break pt in the final against Zverev.

American Madison Keys breaks through to win her first major, defeating the best players on tour to do so. 

Sasha Zverev has been playing some of the best tennis of his career the past year or so, and made another deep run in a major losing in straight sets to Sinner in the finals. What can the German do to improve and maybe someday win that elusive major that has eluded him so far in his career?

Ben Shelton played some great tennis getting to the SF's in Melbourne, what can he do to get a little more consistent week in and week out this season?

Alcaraz wins indoors in Rotterdam, Shapovalov dominates Dallas, new mom Bencic wins, Eagles crush Chiefs

Jannik Sinner received a 90 day suspension from WADA for his ongoing doping situation from 2024. The world #1 is eligible to come back in time for his home Masters 1000 in Rome and won't miss a major. 

The young Brazilian teenager Joao Fonseca broke though last week winning his first tournament on the ATP in Buenos Aires. This is just the beginning of what could be a long successful career on tour.

23 year old American Amanda Anisimova won Doha last week in convincing fashion, beating Jelena Ostapenko in the final. She will make her top 20 debut this week and seems to be playing some of the best tennis of her young career. 

Podcast favorite Ludvig Aberg come from 2 shots back on Sunday to win the Genesis Open which was played at Torrey Pines because of the recent fires in Southern California. After going winless on tour in 2024 this seems to be a preview of more wins to come in 2025 for the young Swede.
