I've gotten some good suggestions for the best of 2025 emailed to me! Only 2 more weeks until CHristmas is over and I give you my gift, an extra long show. I've begun ordering prizes for the 2026 membership drive. The theme is going to be "flat" to get around the craziness that is trying to mail anything to the USA. The homelab is all nice and fixed, but I never did get an offer for a stack of Hard Drives. :) Stuff like that is getting ridiculously expensive because of all of the Goddamned AI data centers which create nothing but heat. We've got a great show for everyone this week, as the first track I picked had a very fast tempo, and as I've said, that tends to spread to the rest of the show. Also, I begin picking tracks for the best of 2025. Good lord, how is it only 4 weeks until I have to get the show ready!

RSA December 1st 2025

This weekend I get to play SysAdmin as my homelab (which stores all of my RSA material) had a disk failure in one of my servers. It's all parity protected, but I'm spending a good 20 hours moving data off another disk that I'm kinda suspicious of. If anyone wants to donate a stack of 16TB SATA drives to me, I wouldn't say no at this point. But because I have lost data in the distant past, I've already learned my lesson. But this doesn't directly affect RSA at all, as we've got a great show for everyone. A higher tempo than usual, but the first track I selected was 150 bpm(!), that sets the tone for the rest of the show!

RSA November 24th 2025

Things are more or less back to normal around here, as we prepare for the onset of Winter in Canada. This week I do put some emphasis on what the heck we're going to do about next years membership drive. I'm really looking for your feedback on what you'd like to receive in return for donations. I'm looking at Enamel pins (much like the Sanctuary pins that are on my "battle jacket"). Sadly the patches we did prior to the pandemic are insanely expensive now. If you have one, it's a collectiors item! THis wek we also expanded to 9 songs instead of the usual 8. In the new world of more singles than full length albums, we'll have to adapt and try to keep the quantity as high as the quality. :)

RSA November 17th 2025

I apologize for missing last week, but apparently if you're unable to eat solid food for several days the pounds just melt away! I have some work to do on my health, but the work will be done. One thing that I forgot to mention in this weeks show is that this week we have Remembrance Day in the Commonwealth and Veterans day in the USA. Having stood on Tower bridge in London, and the docks in Hamburg I'm just glad that the idea of bombing either city now is such an inconceivable thing. Hamburg was also a significant visit for me because my Grandfather was a part of Operation Gomorrah. 

The first track is also dedicated to the people at ICE.

My favourite time of the year. When the leaves are changing, the temperature drops a bit so we need a light jacket. Might be time to pull out my 90s battle jacket. Maybe on Saturday Nov 1 when I DJ at Ground Control. Maybe. This week we only make a passing mention of AI. I swear. But we did get a response from Bandcamp, so the gears are moving. So all of the Yanks are out protesting today (NO MORE KINGS), Europe is pre-drinking, and the west coast is just getting through brunch. Sounds like a perfect time to drop this weeks RSA! We delve ever so slighly into the ethics of using AI and what its place might be in music production. This also includes a snippet of an AI song that one of our long term listeners has been noodling with. Its quite eye opening. We're now officially into spring, and its safe for me to leave the house without freezing. Which means that RSA will slide into its summer schedule and the show will most likely be posted late on Sundays as I get chores done. The exciting life of an internet DJ!
