Rishi Who Went to South – Shiva’s wedding

During Bhagwaan Shankar’s marriage to Devi Parvati, all the Gods and great sages went to Himalaya to attend the wedding. This caused an imbalance of powers on earth.

Earth requested Mahadev to offer a solution to this problem.

In order to restore the balance of power on earth Shivaji asked rishi Agastya to go south and stay there so that with his presence in the south the balance of power on earth can be restored.
