Years ago, the Academy bore witness to a gruesome tragedy. Macie's sister, the valiant Jocelyn Graves, was cruelly taken from the world when she was pushed from the school's roof by a malevolent shadow entity. This spectral figure is known as Oliver.

He is an ancient, terrifying entity known as one of the October People. Steeped in Native American folklore, these spectral beings return to the Gulf Coast each October, for a brief, deadly three-day stint. Their singular aim? To steal from the living, to kill the living. White stones, black crow feathers . . . innocuous at first glance, but they mark you for death.

As the month of October draws near, the Gulf Coast Paranormal team must delve into the dangerous world of the October People and solve the mystery of Oliver's true identity. With the memory of Jocelyn's tragic death a constant reminder of the danger they face, they must prevent the entity from claiming more lives.

As the team prepares to face Oliver once more, they must unravel the mysteries of the ancient legends and avoid falling into the same deadly trap. Will they survive this return to Leaf Academy or will they, too, become victims of the October People?
