Trained as a ninja from childhood. Forged into an elite commando as a man. Gergely thought he was prepared for anything.

But when an inexplicable force tears him out of his own time and throws him nearly four and a half centuries into the past, all the rules change.

Stranded in a violent and unfamiliar age, Gergely is drawn into a country fighting for survival. As Ottoman cannon tear the fortress apart and wave after wave of attackers climb its shattered walls, Gergely must combine the warfare of the twentieth century with the weapons, ingenuity and raw courage of the sixteenth.
