Pearls of Sea and Stone: Book of Seals: A Selkies' Skins Story

Kirstin Makay is a half-selkie and a witch who must train for the quest to gain her own skin. In the library of Castle Carrick's merstudies section she finds "The Book of Seals," part mythology and part guidebook bearing a strange cover that feels oddly familiar. On reading she discovers a trove of Selkies myths recorded by a Father Liam Ronan at the Our Lady of the Sea Abbey in 300 A.D. Is the scribe a selkie, or just a sympathizer toward the specie? What can Kirsty learn about her selkie heritage from this ancient book that she can't learn from other sources?

We join Kirsty for part of her second year at Castle Carrick and read along with her to learn the secrets Father Ronan sought to preserve.

A prequel to the "Selkies' Skins" series which briefly crosses over with the "Dragon Shaman" series.
