Oaths of Land and Sea

It is said that kelpies are creatures born of shadows and moonlight. Mysterious spirits that haunt the rippling surface of lochs and rivers and lure fair maidens into a watery grave. It is also said that a kelpie's beauty is as irresistible as it is deadly and many unwary travellers have been charmed and carried into the depths, only the faintest echoes of their cries lingering above the marshes. Yet many tales speak of a different side to the creature—one that is ancient, a symbol of the untamed forces of nature, wild and unpredictable like the very soul of the water.

From a different world comes a siren. With a gentle voice as soft as a breeze and as sharp as a blade, the siren sings. Her song is both a lullaby and a lure. Each note bends the air, making the world tilt and sway, pulling with it the very tides of destiny. Those who hear her call are drawn in, entranced by the impossible beauty of her song, until they are nothing more than vessels of desire and longing, lost to the waves. And though some say she sings only to bring death, others believe she is a keeper of secrets, a dreamer, guarding the mysteries of the world beneath the waves with a voice that has the power to light up even the darkest night.
